Flying Blind is an Alcatraz Affiliate that originated in the farm country of central California. In 1993 the band officially formed and began playing popular local venues such as "Charlies" in Modesto as well as other gigs in the vicinity. Larger events, bigger crowds, and more exposure led to their signing with Universal Records in 2000. After their first official release in 2000, and the overflow of problems that come with signing to a major label, Flying Blind severed ties with Universal and has been releasing their albums independently ever since.
